Jeffrey A. Albers, 36, passed away on Sept. 11, 2022 at his home. Born on April 19, 1986 in Houston, TX, he was the loving son of Donna and John Albers.
He received a degree in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute in Houston. After graduation, he spent his entire career in the pursuit of his passion for cooking. He was a member of the American Culinary Federation where under the guidance of Chef Alex Dervish he was a member of a competitive cooking team who won first prize in a National competition which culminated in Las Vegas.
His career spanned working for Chef Alex Darvishi at the Houston Country Club, Chefs Tom Colicchio and Mark Frangione in New York, Tony Maws and Peter Davis in Cambridge and Chris Cooms in Boston. One of his greatest pleasures was cooking for friends and family. He also loved fly fishing, basketball, karate and traveling. During his travels across the U.S., Europe and Mexico he was an ardent student of international cuisine.
He is survived by his parents, his uncle Henry and aunt Sharon, his aunt Krystyna, and cousins Michael and Chris and cousin Jennifer and her husband Jeff and their children Luke and Jace, his step brother Jason, step mom Shaun, uncle Tim and aunt Mary Ann, cousins Ben and Neil, uncle Tom and aunt Mary and cousins Jake and Kayte.
Visitation will be held on Saturday September 24th at the Quealy Funeral Home on 116 Adams Street, Abington Ma. from 8:30am-10:30am, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 am, with a live webcast from quealyandson.com. Interment to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree.
