John "Jay" Meada III Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John Joseph Meada, our beloved Jay. Jay passed suddenly on October 3rd, 2023 at the age of 36 in Braintree, Massachusetts.

Jay was raised in Avon, Massachusetts, and lived in many South Shore towns throughout his life, including Abington, Scituate, and Brockton, until settling in Braintree, later on with his girlfriend and soon-to-be fiancé Paulina Pizzochero. He was a passionate businessman, and poured his life into building 911 Repairs Inc, his Boston-based construction company. He strived for perfection and worked endless hours making sure his customers received top-notch service. His talent earned him much praise in the construction industry.

Jay had an infectious energy and sense of humor that lit up any room he walked in. He loved bigger than life. Among his hobbies were bike riding, hiking, fishing, riding his quad, shopping, setting off fireworks, and treating us to lavish dinners. Jay never turned down the chance for an adventure. His favorite place in the world was San Diego, California and he would always reminisce about the perfect weather. It’s neither too hot nor humid. He was an avid sports fan, who never missed any NFL or NBA game, while idolizing Tom Brady as the G.O.A.T. Above all he had the biggest heart and was the most loving, devoted father and best friend to his son, Owen Routhier; his pride and joy. He was immensely proud of Owen’s accomplishments and was his biggest supporter in life.

Jay is survived by his son Owen Routhier; his loving girlfriend Paulina Pizzochero; his mother Kerri Sabella; his sisters Tayler Sabella and Britni Sabella; his Aunt Debra Nelson; his cousin Alan Kerr and wife Jaime Nugent and their son Cristian Kerr; his Uncle Steven Nelson and cousins Matty Nelson and Alexandra Nelson; Alexandra’s children Gabriella Wilson and Julie Wilson, his uncle David Nelson; Owen’s half siblings Camryn Onyskow and Oliver Onyskow to whom he was a loving uncle; Owen’s mother Ashley Routhier-Onyskow and husband Oliver Onyskow; Owen’s grandmother Gia Routhier; Owen’s grandfather Mark Routhier who was a father figure to Jay; his late grandparents Charles Nelson and Priscilla Darling-Nelson; his late aunt Donna Nelson; and many loving friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life with a visitation at Quealy Funeral Home located at 116 Adams Street Abington, MA 02351. Services will be held on Thursday October 12, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
