John Pecoraro of Abington, passed away peacefully on June 2. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends, sharing a lifetime of memories.
Those who knew John describe him as the strongest guy they ever knew with a larger than life personality. He had a gift for lighting up a room and making people feel welcomed and loved. He lived and shared a mindset of PME (positive mental energy). He grew up in Everett, MA and later served in the Army. He met the love of his life, started a family and grew his small business. When not working or spending time with his family, he enjoyed boating, scuba diving, riding his motorcycle, lifting weights at the gym, antique cars and hot rods, camping and finding anything to fix around the house - and the houses of others. A truly selfless man, John was always looking out for everyone and offering a lending hand when needed. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and loved playing a major role in all of their lives.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Pecoraro; daughter Melissa Odell and her husband Brian; daughter Gina Vieira and her husband Stan; and son Tom Pecoraro. He has four grandchildren: Brendan Delima, Abbey Odell, Maura Odell and Luciana Pecoraro.
All are welcome to attend the visitation at Quealy and Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street Abington, on Tuesday from 4pm -7pm followed by a funeral home service at 7 pm. Interment private.
