Joseph John Bikowski, at the age of 79, passed away on March 25, 2022. He was born on August 22, 1942 in Chelsea, MA.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents Leon Bikowski and Alice (Podlaski) Bikowski, as well as his beloved wife, Michelle (McCarten) Bikowski, his brother Stanley Bikowski, and his sisters Veronica (Bikowski) Wilson, and Jeanette Bikowski.
He is survived by his dear brother Leon Bikowski. He was the loving father to Margaret (Bikowski) and her husband Douglas Holmes of Quincy, MA, Timothy Bryan Bikowski of Abington, MA and Bridget Eileen (Bikowski) and her husband Jonathan O'hare of Abington, MA.
Joseph is also survived by his grandchildren Matthew Nicholas Bikowski – Warner of Avon, MA, Evelyn Michelle O’Hare of Abington, MA, Victoria Eileen O’Hare of Abington, MA and his stepgrandchildren Jared and Zachary Holmes of Kentucky. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews and all of their children, who he adored very much.
After high school, Joseph enlisted in the US Navy which he faithfully and successfully served 23 years and ultimately achieved Chief Warrant Officer O2. He had a deep passion and respect for earth’s ocean and atmosphere and served as a Deep Sea Diver, a Master Rigger and Dock Master.
After his retirement from the Navy, Joseph worked for the Department of Defense as Master Rigger for the USS Constitution.
He later attended Northeastern University and graduated with Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy. He continued to work in healthcare alongside his wife at Cranberry Specialty Hospital, Middleborough, MA and Coyne Health Care, Rockland, MA. On his spare time, Joseph was a very creative and inquisitive individual. He took pride in everything he did. There was nothing he couldn’t do. He was a very generous man with a huge
heart. Joseph was passionate, energetic and loved to travel the world.
He cherished his wife and kids and grandchildren.
He lived a blessed life.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday March 29 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Quealy and Son Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday March 30 at 10:30 AM at St Bridget's Church Abington. Interment to follow with U.S. Navy Honors at Mount Vernon Cemetery Abington.
