Madelyn Creutz

Madelyn (O'Connell) Creutz, age 95, of Abington, MA left us on 4/6/21. Born in Quincy, MA, Maddie was a graduate of Quincy High School. She was married to Gerard Creutz, her dedicated husband of 61 years who was a supervisor at a precision gear manufacturer in Quincy and later Brockton, also of Quincy, MA.  She is predeceased by her husband as well as her son, Gerard, of Bowdoin, ME.  She is survived by her son, Robert, of Waterford, CT, sister-in-law, Edie Colbert, of Salem, MA, nephew Alfred Diack of Quincy, MA, niece, Karen Bresnahan of Pembroke, MA, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.  She was active in Abington's children's bowling leagues.  She and her husband were involved with the Abington VFW for many years and supported its many functions including bingo. She enjoyed social gatherings of all kinds with those that she loved and was often considered the life of the party. Most recently she has been under the kind care of the staff at Harbor House Rehab and Nursing in Hingham, MA. Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home Saturday April 10 from 11am to noon, followed by a funeral service at noon. Interment will be private.
