Muriel L Kiernan

Muriel L. Kiernan of Abington, passed away May 30, 2022.Muriel was born Nov. 23, 1928 to Lester and Helen Rose. She was a Rockland High School graduate,  class of 1946. Muriel was preceded in death by her late husband Edward Kiernan and her son George Kiernan.  Muriel was employed as a telephone operated for New Telephone until retiring in 1989.

 Muriel was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a past district president. Muriel was a dedicated Mom to all her children and family always came first, the hole left in her passing will be impossible to fill!! Midge enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. She liked to play bingo, knitting and crocheting, dancing and road trips to New Hampshire. Surviving are sons James Kiernan and wife Linda of Taunton, Sean Kiernan and wife Ann of Brockton, Edward Kiernan and girlfriend Deborah Keller of Abington, a daughter Eileen Craig and long- time companion Michael Heater of Olyphant Pa.  Grandchildren James Kiernan of Abington, Andrew Kiernan of Boston, and Christopher Craig of Peckville Pa.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Monday June 6 from 4 to 6pm. A funeral home service will be on Tuesday June 7th at 11am. Interment to follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery Abington.
