Nicole Terese O'Hara, 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 12th, 2023 after a short courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Nicole was born on April 16, 1970, in Boston, MA to Mary Ellen Kennedy DeMarco and Peter Dittrich Sr., as well as her stepfather John DeMarco. Nicole was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Braintree High School and proudly worked in Boston for the United States Post Office.
Nicole loved the beach and taking advantage of the pleasures of sunbathing, and one of her favorite pastimes was hunting for the most beautiful sea glass. She was truly a people person, could converse with anyone, and had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel special. She could make anyone laugh, effortlessly. She was known to march to the beat of her own drum and embraced life on her terms. Nicole was a strong, compassionate, loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all.
Nicole was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Jeffrey O’Hara Jr. and his wife Ashley O’Hara and Tiffani Ewell. Tiffani and Jeffrey were her pride and joy that she would endlessly boast about to coworkers, family, and friends. In addition to Tiffani and Jeffrey, Nicole will be missed by her brother Peter Dittrich Jr., his wife Wendy Dittrich, and her brother Scott Dittrich. Nicole also leaves behind six nieces and nephews. Nicole will also be missed deeply by her companion Raymond O’Neil.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, November 21st at 11:30 am at St Clare Parish (1244 Liberty Street) in Braintree, MA. Followed by a celebration of life at Tommy Doyle’s Pub and Grill in Brockton, MA (235 E Ashland St).
