Richard Cox Obituary

Cox, Richard Norman Sr. Of Hingham, died peacefully on January 23, 2021 at age 90. Beloved husband of Ruth Cox. Devoted father of Kenneth R. Cox and his wife AnnMarie of MA, Marilyn Gambardella and her husband Paul of MA, Richard N. Cox Jr. of CA, Russell W. (Chip) Cox of MA, and Daniel E. Cox of RI.   Brother of Cynthia Brown and the late Lois Ferrara of MA. He was a greatly loved by his seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews.  He served in the Navy during the Korean War and worked most of his life as a plasterer tradesman.  He was a member of the American Legion and his love and enthusiasm for the game of pool led to more than three decades of Wednesday games nights with fellow members of the South Shore Pool League. 

Due to Covid-19, a private service will be held on January 27, 2021 at Quealy and Son Funeral Home, followed by a burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
