Stephen L. Packer, age 62, of Brockton, MA passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 1, 2022. Born in Needham, MA on August 19, 1959, one of two twins. He was the loving son of the late Robert E. and Mary E. Packer. Stephen grew up in Dedham, MA in the Riverdale area and was 1977 graduate of Dedham High School.
For many years he worked for his father at Packer Commercial Combustion, Inc. Upon his father’s passing, he started his own business, All Purpose Maintenance, which he ran up until his death. Stephen was a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his daughter Nancy and his grandchildren Rylee, Mia, Ryan and Justen. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Galasso of Lowell, MA, Sister Joan L. Packer, M.S.B.T. of Philadelphia, PA, Nancy Kaune and her husband Scott of Gales Ferry, CT, Carol Anderson of ST. Petersburgh, FL, and Mary DesRoches of Norton, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Christine, his twin brother Robert, his brother Richard, as well as his daughter Carol.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday August 9 from 10 am to 11 am. Followed by funeral home service at 11 am at Quealy and Son funeral home 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA. Interment to follow at Mt Zion Cemetery in Whitman, MA.
