MacINTYRE, William G. (Bill) of Abington for over 48 years, passed away peacefully, on May 10, 2021, at the age of 83. Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He then went on to enter the United States Navy and serve his country honorably for four years. He attended electrical engineering classes at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and became a longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) Local 223. Bill was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed both salt and freshwater fishing. He also was a member of the Seaside Club of Plymouth, where he competed on the bocce team. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending his winters in Naples, FL. Bill was a kind and loving husband and father, and a good friend and neighbor to many, who will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. His beloved wife, Ann, predeceased him in January, 2021. Loving father of Susan MacIntyre Wheeler, Karen Ginter and William M. MacIntyre. Bill is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Rachel and Myles, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
