Caitlyn Melville Obituary

Caitlyn Shannon Melville, of Abington passed away July 1st at the age of 30.  Loving daughter of Mary and Donald Melville of Abington, granddaughter to the late Joseph and Frances McCormack and the late James and Barbara Melville both of Abington.  The youngest of 6 siblings she is survived by Michael Melville of Abington, Heather DeCarvalho of East Bridgewater, Melissa Melville of Carver, JoEllen Chiusano of Plymouth, and Phillip Melville of Abington.  She was extraordinarily close to her nieces and nephews: Scott Anderson, Corey Melville, Michael, Stephanie and April DeCarvalho, Nicholas, Joseph, Julia and Sarah Buckley, James Chiusano, Jaylin, Georgianna, Francesca, Charlotte, and Lucile Melville.  She was unconditionally loved by all her aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cait was devoted to her family.  She enjoyed music and attending concerts.  She was kind and giving to all. She had a heart of gold and a silly sense of humor that would make anyone smile.  She enjoyed playing basketball with her nieces and nephews as well as riding quads and snowmobiles at her family camp in Vermont.  She loved being adventurous hiking and exploring new locations, as well as kayaking with her mom.  She loved her puppy Daisy from the second she met her, and had taught her to jump in and swim in the family pool.  Cait gave endless amounts of love and attention to her family, and mothered all her nieces and nephews, she loved sitting around playing a game of Parcheesi, Boggle or Scrabble with them.

Cait was meticulous with her hair and makeup, and never had a hair out of place.  She was always color coordinated down to her last accessory.  She was beautiful and radiant.  She was the perfect baby sister.  Cait gave her whole self to whom she loved.  She was thoughtful and remembered everything you would tell her.  She was a great listener and had empathy for all.

Cait was a graduate of the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg and Notre Dame Academy in Hingham.  She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, all academic honor societies.  Cait worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield, working to make others’ lives better.

Caitlyn will forever be loved, missed and cherished.  She will never be forgotten.
