On April 21, 2019, Dean lost his battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
Dean was born on January 24, 1958 to Sylvia and Earle Harris. He was a life long Abington resident.
Dean leaves behind many loved ones including his twin sister Deborah and her husband Stephen Slonina. As well as his older sister Lynda Croal and late brother David Walker, who will be waiting for him.
He was a loving uncle to Robin Melanson, Laurie Levelle, Sherri Croal, Nicole Slonina, Stephen Slonina, Gretchen Eberly, Haley Gambino, Chris, Katie and Matt Walker.
He will be remembered for his wheelchair rides and games of chess. He loved history, fixing computers, playing the drums and most of all his family and friends. He has gone on to a better place. We are not to be sad.
His family would like to thank the many people that have helped Dean along the way. Including his care givers, nurses and recently the staff at South Shore Hospital. You all made a difference.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association of Massachusetts (summer camp program) 33 Lyman Street #205, Westborough, Ma 01581.
A funeral service will be held at the Quealy and Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Thursday April 25 at 11am. Visitation Wednesday 5 to 8pm. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
