Stanley Frasu Obituary

Stanley Frasu of Abington, June 17, 2018, age 63, Loving husband of Susan M. Frasu of Abington; Loving father of Marlene Cook and husband David of Franklin and Shauna Stapleton and husband Robert of Abington; Beloved grandfather of Aaron, Gavin, Hailey, and Jocelyn; Loving brother of Wayne Frasu and wife Rosalyn of GA, Stephen Frasu and wife Carol of Fla., Sharon Rosen and husband Chuck of Randolph, and Carol Keating and husband John of Randolph. Also, survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Stan grew up in Dorchester, MA and graduated from South Boston High School. As a young man he worked as a welder for General Dynamics at the Quincy Shipyard. Later he worked in various capacities for USA Today newspaper where he ran The New England distribution of the paper from the Boston Offset facility in Norwood, MA.

When Stan and his wife Susan built their home in Abington, MA 15 years ago, Stan retired from USA Today and spent his life dedicated to the loving care of his family whom he loved more than life itself. When not catering to his family’s every need, Stan enjoyed bowling, playing cards, attending movies, plays, concerts, and going on family vacations. But most of all Stan loved gambling.  He loved playing his numbers, playing the Racebook at casinos and his all time favorite going to the track with his best buddy Chuck.

He enjoyed fabulous vacations to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Disney, Universal Studios, Aruba, Hawaii, Alaska, and Nashville to name a few.

His philosophy was always “family first” and live for today, tomorrow is not guaranteed. Stan will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him and forever remembered. Always in our hearts. May Stan rest in peace until we meet again.
