Maureen Perrault, 70, of West Palm Beach, FL (originally Rockland) passed away peacefully at home with family around her.
All who knew her described Maureen as smart, witty and exceptionally compassionate. She loved her family and gave selflessly to all. She worked many years for Palm Beach County Social Services as the director of the Community Action Council. Her work on behalf of those in need earned her numerous awards including one for the creation of a highly successful summer camp program.
A voracious reader, she typically finished 3 or 4 books a week. She loved good food and often had one of her favorite dishes – roasted veggie pasta – for breakfast. Also, a talented artist, she loved to draw and paint and often made her own greeting cards.
Maureen is survived by her two children, Savanna Hudson of Greenwich, CT and Lee Hudson of Ridgeville, SC; her 3 grandchildren Victoria, Gladys and Lee Jr.; her sister Michelle and husband Mark Cunningham, sister Diane Perrault and husband Mike Ezekiel, sister Kathleen Canizaro and husband Richard Canizaro, brothers Stephen Perrault and Brian Perrault; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents Dr. William E. Perrault, and Pauline Perrault and brother William “Rex” Perrault.
Services will be private.
