Bruce A. Badmington, 68, of Rockland died peacefully on December 31, 2014 in the South Shore Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1946 in Quincy, son of the late Kendrick and Mary (MacLeod) Badmington and was raised in Quincy and Rockland. He was a graduate of Quincy High School. A veteran, Bruce served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, he also served in the Army National Guard for several years. Prior to retirement, he was was employed as an agent at Royal & Son Alliance for nearly 20 years. In addition, he owned and operated L & B Vending. Bruce was an avid sports fan and spent many years as a volunteer (board member and President) of the Yankee Conference hockey league and the South Shore Conference hockey league. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends influenced everything he did throughout his life. He was a role model to many and will be greatly missed. Beloved husband of Linda A. (Berte). Loving father of Diane M. Mazurkiewicz and her husband, Matthew of Barrington, NH and William A. Badmington of Rockland. Adored grandfather of Shane Badmington and Colin Mazurkiewicz. Brother of Mary Barclay of Rockland, Robert and Kendrick Badmington both of Braintree, June Badmington of Bridgewagter, Gail Badmington of Braintree and Carl Badmington. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation on Monday, 4-8 PM. in the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington. Funeral services on Tuesday at 11:30 AM in the funeral home.
