James Benoit of Abington, died July 9 at the Beth Israel Hospital after a long illness, Son of the late Edward J. Benoit and Margaret L. (Boudreau) Benoit; Loving brother of Margaret (John) Clark of Whitman, Winifred (William) Love, Marcella, Antoinette (Chris) Zigouras, Ida (David) Frazier all of Abington, Theresa (Richie) Adams of CA, Richard Archung (Barry) and the late Edward, John, Willard and Leo. Also, survived by 15 Nieces and Nephews and 35 Great Grand nieces and nephews and 7 Great, great grand nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a graduate of the South Shore Vocational Tech in Hanover. He had worked at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy and for the last 25 yrs. at Cape Cod Lumber as a craftsman in the lumber shop.
Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Wednesday July 13 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Tuesday 6 to 8pm. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to: American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
