John Ferrick Obituary

John Michael Ferrick 52 of Scituate, Ma died peacefully at home on Wednesday February 21st. John was born on June 10th, 1971 in Rahoon, Galway Ireland and came to America with his parents in 1971. He brought the gift of gab with him :)

John was an accomplished mechanic after attending South Shore Vocational School but eventually decided to follow in his fathers footsteps joining the Pipefitters LU 537. He was so proud of this accomplishment and would tell anyone who would listen.

John is predeceased by his loving father John M Ferrick of Duxbury and we are thankful to know he will join his Dad in the afterlife.

John is survived by his devoted Mother Concepta Bithell and stepfather Joe Bithell. Together they have provided John with unconditional and never ending love. He knew they were his people and was so thankful to have spent so many hours by their side.

The true pride and light of John’s life though was his daughter Julianna Ferrick. He adored  and spoke so highly of her. He would tell us every little story they ever shared because to him they were never little. She was the biggest part of his life and is so very loved forever. John is also survived by his sisters Deirdre Littlefield and her husband Scott, Fiona Lunetta and her husband John and Siobhan Ferrick. John was an awesome uncle to Steven and his wife Amber Littlefield, Ryan and Dillon Littlefield, Abby, Johnny and Brendan Lunetta and Liam Demars. He was a Great Uncle to Jaxson and Gemma Littlefield. John had so much fun with our kids anytime he could and was always ready to play. He was almost a big kid himself. John had a love for Boston sports but especially hockey and shared it so freely with us all. His passion will live on in all of our children that he loved so dearly. They hope to make him proud! Most important was John’s huge heart. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need, sometimes to a fault. John just wanted to make people happy. He would always have a story and you’d always walk away laughing. He was a true Irishman and proud of his heritage. May you rest in sweet, eternal peace John. We love you.
